Why Should You Be a MANA Member?

By

In the early days of my business as I was looking for information on how to become a successful manufacturers’ representative, I came across a copy of Agency Sales magazine. I was impressed with the information it provided and joined MANA. That was thirty-eight years ago.

As a board member, I have had the pleasure of speaking with many of my constituents. One of the many questions I’m asked is “Why belong to MANA?” A very leading question! If you go to the MANA website we have twenty outstanding reasons which include: rep protection acts, contract guidelines, legal resources, line assistance, and much more.

All excellent reasons to be a member, but the way I look at it, we are a vital part of the business community and all of its intricacies. As in all major professions, there needs to be someone looking out for our best interest. Doctors have the AMA, lawyers have ABA, etc., all of which work to ensure the success of their members. This is precisely what MANA is doing for us.

When business is running well, we tend to forget if and when the inevitable day comes that there’s a problem, we may need help. And then where do you go?

MANA has worked tirelessly on our behalf for over sixty years so that we can continue to do what we do best — be successful manufacturers’ reps.

Take a close look at our website, MANAonline.org. I think you will agree that the question “Why belong to MANA” answers itself.
