Lance Scott, president of EAO Switch Corporation, recently presented on behalf of MANA member Pinnacle Marketing, Inc., the Jaime Koroslev Excellence in Rep Support Award for 2010 to their Inside Technical Support Staffer Jill Raymond. This award is given each year by Pinnacle Marketing, a southeast manufacturers’ representative firm, to an employee of one of their principals who they feel has unselfishly supported their sales efforts during the year.
The award is named in honor of the representative firm’s late employee Jaime Koroslev and this marks the 15th year this honor has been given. According to Pinnacle Marketing’s president, Doyle Evans, “Jaime sold EAO products long before he joined our firm which makes this year’s selection very special. For many years, Jaime was employed by Luscombe Engineering of San Francisco serving as their Distributor Manager. As such, he was instrumental in helping develop distributor programs in those early years of EAO’s North American market penetration.” Scott noted in making the presentation that he was “impressed with (Jaime’s) legacy and the significance placed in this memorial award.” He further noted this is a tribute to entire EAO team that is highly focused on providing world-class customer service.
The Pinnacle Staff felt Raymond deserved this award for her dependability and vast knowledge of EAO’s product and unique capabilities in the human machine interface arena.

Raymond J. Hall Named Recipient of the George Hayward CPMR Champion Award
Raymond J. Hall, retired CEO of the Electronics Representative Association (ERA), has been named the 2011 recipient of the George Hayward CPMR® Champion Award by the Manufacturers’ Representative Educational Research Foundation (MRERF).
The George Hayward CPMR® Champion Award was created to acknowledge and honor the passion and persistence that George Hayward displayed during the development of the CPMR® designation. During Hall’s tenure as CEO of ERA he was the leader in creating the Foundation and encouraging the development of a professional designation for the representative community. The result of that leadership was the establishment of the CPMR® program.
MRERF is the third party certifying body responsible for the Certified Professional Manufacturers’ Representative (CPMR®) program. As of January 2011, there are over 2,200 CPMR® graduates. The program is continually improved to meet the needs of today’s manufacturers’ representative companies. Rigorous oversight insures that the content, presenters, and examination process meet the highest standards for certification.
