I was going through my mail this afternoon and I received a package from Morton Grove, Illinois. I thought who do I know from Morton Grove? Well Charley (MANA’s President & CEO Charley Cohon)…I received five copies of Agency Sales magazine with my picture on the front cover. Wow! What a pleasant surprise. I knew there was going to be an article on MANA’s “A League of Their Own,” but certainly did not expect to be on the front cover. Thank you so much! What an honor. It truly made my day! I never thought something like this would happen to me.
Coincidently my great grandmother (mother’s side) and one of her sisters, Sally Rozner, started the Woman’s Garment Union in Chicago and then moved on to California to perform the same work. Sarah Rozner was one of my great grandmother’s sisters. She did many presentations and lectures at UCLA and they can still be heard by Googling Sarah Rozner. My great grandmother and many of her siblings were ahead of their time and very strong-willed women. Their stories are fascinating. I believe I have inherited some of these traits.
This has motivated me to put another “League of Their Own” meeting together soon.
Thank you!

Thank you so much for the wonderful article! Wow! I was very surprised to see my face on the October issue cover. I just thought I’d be on the pages inside. There’s huge smiles on all our faces.
I have already received several e‑mails and a couple of calls requesting more information about our firm. One even came right out and asked us to represent them.
We did ask the two new principals for their house accounts and/or a program to compensate us while we prospect. Neither wanted to even relinquish their house accounts. In the end we decided to work with both at our full commission rate and basically we split the house accounts. Not totally thrilled, but we have enough dealers in our territory that would be interested in these two new principals that we felt it was worth the chance.
The principal that called me yesterday asking us to be their rep is a different story. I told him up front that we would require compensation for prospecting because they do not have any dealers in our area at all. He agreed and if we decide to move forward, I’ll let you know how that works out.
Thank you again for choosing us and Cort Designs for your October 2018 issue!
