The year 2020 marked the WomenReps Third Annual conference, a Texas-sized success. This unique conference once again grew in attendance and was so well received that the gathering for 2021 is already in the planning stages.
Participant Willa Moats, Willcare Associates, LLC, shared this feedback:
“Just a note to share my gratitude for the efforts put forth for our conference in Dallas. This was my second one and one of the best conferences I have ever been part of. Often certain parts/presentations/topics are better than others but this conference proved 100 percent useful.”
Jamie Benson of Foster Engineered Products wrote:
“As a first-time attendee to the WomenReps Conference in February, I was unsure of what to expect from the days I would spend in Texas. From a casual lunch upon arrival to a fun Texas style barbecue dinner to close out the weekend, all of the topics and interactions in-between were extremely enlightening. Having worked as an employee of a rep agency, Foster Engineered Products, for 11+ years, I wanted to take some professional development time for myself.
“We focused on the following topics: Self Care, Interviewing With Manufacturers, Contract Negotiations, Ways to Delegate, Hiring vs. Outsourcing, Finding the Right Person for the Right Seat, Understanding the Business of Running a Rep Agency, Tracking Business, Tools That Make Us Successful and Methods That Generate Success, Educational Resources, When to Buy In vs. Going Out on Your Own, and Gender Dynamics.
“With an immediate rapport amongst all the women in attendance, the canvas was set for everyone to share their experiences, good and bad along with our strengths and weaknesses, allowing us to learn from one another with sessions that were interactive amongst the whole group of attendees. I left with a great deal of new knowledge and best practices to set forth in my daily routines. Looking forward to 2021!”
Carla A. Campbell of Campbell Sales and Marketing had this to say:
“The gathering of all of us has helped me in my business by learning not only to be more focused through topics such as marketing ideas and e-mail services, but also self-care. I learned that there was a certification venue for reps as salespeople and managers (which I did not know) and also how to deal with contracts, one of which I just signed today with edits!
“As a small-business owner, I at times suffer from entrepreneurial loneliness and attending a group meeting where like minds can convene and share is extremely beneficial.
“It was very worthwhile, and we had fun while learning and networking to all be better at what we love most — selling!”
